CG 20 10

Additional Insured — Owners, Lessees or Contractors — Scheduled Person or Organization

Edition in catalog: 04 13 · endorsement

What this number is

CG 20 10 is the scheduled additional-insured endorsement for owners, lessees, or contractors. It is the form most general contractors and owners ask to see when they want to appear on your GL policy for ongoing operations.

What it changes on a policy

It adds the person or organization named in the schedule as an additional insured, but only for liability arising out of your ongoing operations or premises you own or rent. Who is listed, and how they are listed, is the whole point of the endorsement.

What it does not do

CG 20 10 does not, by itself, cover completed operations after you leave the job. That is usually CG 20 37. It also does not automatically make coverage primary and noncontributory; that wording, if present, is a separate endorsement or manuscript change.

Where it shows up

On the policy, it appears on the forms schedule with a schedule of names. On a certificate of insurance it is often listed in the description of operations box. The certificate is not the endorsement.

What to look for

  • The scheduled name matches the contract (legal entity, not a trade name)
  • Whether CG 20 37 is also listed for completed operations
  • Primary and noncontributory language elsewhere on the policy
  • Blanket additional-insured forms (CG 20 33 / CG 20 38) if no one is scheduled

Coverbird reads the declarations and form schedule on the PDF you already have. It does not sell insurance or say whether a limit is enough.
