Commercial policy renewal checklist

What to pull from this year’s declarations before a renewal meeting: dates, limits, form schedule, and the endorsements last year’s contracts required.

Confirm the expiration you will actually be asked about

Each line can expire on a different day. Workers compensation and auto are the ones people miss while staring at the package GL/property date. Coverbird schedules reminder emails from a verified expiration date when the extraction is confident.

Carry last year’s required endorsements into the conversation

If customers required CG 20 10 / CG 20 37, a waiver, or hired/non-owned auto, those need to still be on the new forms schedule. Renewals quietly drop manuscript endorsements. Print or export this year’s schedule and next year’s proposal side by side.

Property numbers change even when the premium looks flat

Coinsurance, valuation, wind deductibles, and ordinance-or-law endorsements sit on the property dec and CP forms. Inventory-heavy shops should look at stock limits and off-premises extensions. Coverbird will extract the figures; your agent still has to speak to replacement cost and any coverage advice.

Coverbird reads the declarations and form schedule on the PDF you already have. It does not sell insurance or say whether a limit is enough.
