Coverbird

Glossary

Policy term

The effective and expiration dates on the declarations—the window the policy is in force.

What it means

Occurrence GL looks at the date of injury. Claims-made looks at the date the claim is made. Renewal reminders are only as good as the expiration date on the dec.

Why it shows up

Coverbird’s renewal emails are scheduled from a verified expiration date extracted from the upload.

What to look for

  • Effective and expiration on every line
  • Short-rate versus pro-rata cancellation language

Coverbird reads the declarations and form schedule on the PDF you already have. It does not sell insurance or say whether a limit is enough.
